Having someone you love makes one stronger and weaker.

And, sometimes, it even makes them feel as though they were going crazy.

The two had no idea how the two of them were able to be apart until now.

“Go on.”

Even at Marie’s recommendation, Kentrail was unbudging.

It was a daily routine that was repeated for almost five days.

As soon as he woke up in the morning, he came to her side, took care of the meal, and said good morning.

She expressed it was okay because the knights take turns guarding the front of the door, but he grumbled that he was not reassured if he was not there.

After that, Brielle and Ellie came and chatted.

When the children left to study, it was time for them to be alone again.

The most troubled person in their daily life was the aide, followed by the butler.

Although it seemed like a mountain of work, as Kentrail kept looking at one place over and over, all they could do was sigh.

In order to solve this situation, they thought it would be important for the nanny to recover quickly.

So, the butler made the chef cook a healthy meal, and the aide asked Marie to let him do some work with her eyes.

Even now, she was kicking out Kentrail.

“Is it because of that guy in the back now”

Perhaps, because of the Count, who had noticed his actions, whether he had pupils behind his back, the aide broke out in a cold sweat.

She beckoned the aide to leave for a moment.

After hearing the door shut, Marie faced Kentrail, who was sitting next to her.

She was barely able to get her body up before turning to him and kissing him on the cheek.

“What… what are you doing”

Having said that, he kissed her lips.

“I should be here.

Even if you flatter me, I will be here.”

At his words, Marie laughed softly.

Her smile was so beautiful that he lowered his head again and kissed her on both ends of the lips.

“Go now.

The aide will be waiting for you.”

“Haaa… I meant to cut back on work earlier.”

She wedged herself into Kentrail’s work.

“I think working people are cool.”

“Really Then, I’ll have to bring it here and do it.”

…However, she was at a loss for his logic.

“What is that”

“Hahaha.

You say it’s cool, so I’ll have to show it more.”

Saying so, he also laughed out loud, wondering if what he said was funny.

As it was rare, the aide and butler, who were waiting outside, were startled by the sudden sound of laughter.

“I’ll go and come back.

If you’re bored, ask Ellie to bring you a book.”

“Yes, don’t worry about me.”

“I really don’t want to go.”

“I don’t want to be separated either.”

Hearing these words, Kentrail turned his half-turned body back and kissed her on the lips.

After repeating that twice, he eventually left the room.

“Sister, what’s the good news”

Ellie couldn’t lie.

Just by looking at the smile on Marie’s face, she knew something good had happened to her.

Though Marie, embarrassed to tell her younger sister that she had a lover, just laughed.

Seeing that, the girl narrowed her eyes to look at her sister’s reaction.

“Are you talking nonsense again”

Barry, who had been training in her knighthood, flicked her head.

“Ah, my head… I won’t get smart!”

Enraged, Ellie ran to the culprit who had hit her.

Marie, who had missed this figure so much, was gazing at them with warm eyes.

“I’m here.”

The next moment, Brielle came with a whole bunch of flowers that his face was invisible.

“What is all this”

“It was nice that Taylor gave you flowers.”

Brielle, who spoke in a grumpy voice, quickly removed the half-withered flower and then began to place the flower of his choosing.

“Why is it so not pretty”

Since it was so large, it seemed difficult for him to organize.

“Let me help you.”

Only then did Ellie stop fighting her brother, and she went over to him.

“You brought all kinds of things.”

There were a total of three gardens in the county.

There was even a greenhouse, so they’d have to go around the big garden to get all these flowers.

At Ellie’s words, when Marie looked at Brielle, the child’s face appeared a little ripe.

“Thank you, Young Master.”

“Hehehe, I’ll keep bringing flowers from now on.”

At her words, Brielle smiled broadly, glad he had something he could do.

“Uh, you actually have something better.”

“What is that”

Brielle put the flower he was holding down and quickly clung to her side.

“That’s seeing the Young Master’s smiling face,” Marie said as she rubbed the child’s cheek with her hands softly.

“What is it”

Even so, Brielle stayed still as if he didn’t like it.

Ellie, who was arranging the flowers while glancing at them, grinned.

The figure was so mischievous that Barry clicked his tongue.

“Should you practice walking”

Barry asked, remembering that it was time for Marie to slowly walk again.

“Yes.

The lawmaker told me I’ll do that, so I’m going to go for a walk with the Count in the evening.”

“I will help you.”

At that, Brielle said he could help her himself.

‘…That way, the Young Master will only get a mountain like homework.’

Ellie could already easily guess the future.

“The Young Master should play with me.”

Deciding to help Brielle once, she suggested.

“Game”

“Yes, we haven’t done it in a while.”

The child looked at Marie and Ellie in turn as if he was worried.

“You and I can practice walking later, and today you can play with Ellie.”

“…Uhh… Yes…”

When he answered with a sorry feeling for Marie, Ellie thought to herself, ‘Sister will like it better.’

“What about Jaz”

“He hasn’t been found yet.”

Unable to even guess where he had gone, Taylor unbuttoned the top button as if he was feeling suffocated.

Though when he made eye contact with Kentrail, he straightened his clothes again.

“I’m sorry, Master.”

“Let’s do what’s better for you.”

“Thank you.”

Kentrail replied as he looked at Taylor as he was tidying up his clothes.

“Try contacting Siege.”

“Siege…”

“Yeah.

Ask him to find out if there are any items he dropped in the room he used to use before, or if there are noble families or servants that he has been close with.”

“Yes, Master.”

Taylor, who had been listening to Kentrail’s instructions, brought up what he had in mind.

“Then, the nanny…”

Kentrail glanced at him at the word ‘the nanny’ before he could finish speaking about the nanny.

‘It’s burning.’

His eyes were so intense that Taylor thought that he had said something pointless.

This was why he couldn’t not know about the things between the two of them.

“What”

His Master’s eyes grew fierce as he stared at him, who did not finish his words until the end.

“…The nanny wants to meet the culprit in person.”

“Culprit”

“Yes.”

“You mean the culprit from the kitchen”

Kentrail frowned at Taylor’s words that he was right.

Even though he told her to be careful, he said that she would meet the culprit again without fear.

Even though he liked how she was, he still wanted her to think of herself first.

“I’ll talk to her.”

“Yes.”

Turning around at the dismissal order, Taylor became lonely, let alone excited, even after leaving work early.

“You’re here, Count.”

In the evening, Marie greeted him as he came to see her.

“Yes, aren’t you lonely”

“Yes, the Young Master was here as well as Ellie, and Barry stayed for a while before leaving.”

“Is that so… But what is that flower” He asked when he saw that the vases were all messed up on the table.

“The Young Master had brought it.”

“Brielle”

“Yes, I said it was good because there are flowers, so it seems like he went around the garden and brought it.”

“He’s better than me.”

His nephew’s behavior was both funny and quirky, so Kentrail smiled softly.

“I want to practice walking today.”

“Already”

“Yes, the doctor told me to try it a few days ago.”

At her words, he gazed at Marie as if he wasn’t relieved to hear that.

“Because I was injured, on the stomach, not on the leg.”

She didn’t hate this quirky man, so Marie gently grabbed Kentrail’s arm and leaned her head against him.

Kentrail put his head on her head, lowering himself as far as he could so that she could lean on him comfortably.

“You told Taylor you were going to meet the culprit”

“Yes… Please, don’t be angry and listen to the end.”

Marie, who has a history of debating over something in a similar situation, asked Kentrail.

“Okay.”

When he answered, she opened her mouth again.

“She seemed to know the real Marie well.

She was very agitated when she confronted me, and I think it would be me who can get any reaction out of her.”

[ Note: The previous chapters called the culprit a ‘he,’ though in this chapter it mentioned her gender for the first time.

Sorry for the confusion and mistake! ]

“Still, it’s too dangerous.”

“The Count just has to watch.

I think the brooch is a hint.

I think it’s an opportunity to reveal how it is related.”

Seeing her say this, Kentrail got confused.

He was afraid to tell the story of Brielle’s family, only hiding it.

Thinking that, he seemed cowardly to himself and decided to tell her.

“I have something to tell you before you meet the culprit.”

She looked up at him, who seemed to have something to say without answering her own words.

“There’s something I learned while visiting Brielle’s mother’s house… It’s the fact that Brielle’s aunt and my family were entangled in a terrible relationship.

Besides, the person who made you like this may have something to do with it.”

“Are you sure”

“Perhaps… Because the person who intercepted sister-in-law’s letter is Brielle’s aunt.”

“How did that happen”

“Honestly, I don’t know what to say to Brielle.

I can’t forgive those who hurt him.

Would it be difficult for you to see Brielle, too”

He asked in a cautious tone.

“Count, I’m a little disappointed.”

“What”

“It’s not difficult for me to see Master Brielle like that.”

“I thought so, too.

But…”

“I know what you mean.

With that said, did you think that the Count’s uncle was trying to harm this place in the first place”

“That’s… Yes, you’re right.

However, I’m still not relieved yet because there are a lot of things that are questionable.

Well, did you say you want to practice walking Shall we go out to the garden”

Marie stared curiously at Kentrail, who told her to go to the garden after cutting off his words.

Nevertheless, gazing into his eyes, she nodded her head.

Sadness and fear coexisted.

He tightened his arms around her waist as she was about to fall.

“Let’s go.”

Half leaning against his body, Marie went out into the garden.
