Pausing after receiving the bread from Ivan, Yena asked.

“There’s a way so that I won’t get married”

Seria frowned and hit Ivan’s elbow.

Yernia couldn’t have known that Seria had persuaded Ivan not to talk about it.

“No.

Pretend you didn’t hear what I said.”

Ivan shook his head in dismissal, but it was already too late.

“What is it Tell me.”

What method did he mean

She thought about it all night, but even she couldn’t find a way around it.

But was there a way not to get married

Yernia, who hadn’t slept a wink last night, had suddenly possessed such wide eyes as if she was relieved from all of her fatigue in an instant.

Ivan only rolled his eyes at the sudden change in Yernia’s behavior.

“This jam is good.

I haven’t tried it before.

Where did you buy it”

Ivan suddenly examined the jar that contained the jam.

Frown lines marred Yernia’s forehead.

The container that Ivan was holding was a ‘fig’ jam.

“This is what we used to eat every day.”

“…….”

“You are acting suspiciously right now.

Tell me what’s wrong.”

Smiling awkwardly, Ivan looked at Seria as if saying, ‘Clap your hands  as if you remembered about the jam, Seria!’

Both of them complimented each other well ever since they met.

Yernia’s eyes narrowed at them.

“Oh, did you hear the news Your friend Daisy, Daisy Philene.

She is also getting married.”

Daisy Philene was one of Jena’s friends during her academy days, but she was also one of the people who became distant from her.

She still remembered why she avoided her because she found it rather ridiculous.

“I like that senior, Yernia! You knew that as well, but why did you still do it Why did you still meet him despite that”

“I have never even met the senior somewhere, much less have the opportunity to be alone with him.”

“Don’t lie.

You’re doing this on purpose because you know I like him, right”

Throwing that conversation that appeared in her mind from out of nowhere, Yena responded without hesitation, “Oh”

The news was unexpected, but she wasn’t that surprised.

Whether Daisy gets married or not, it has nothing to do with Yernia now.

It was already in the past.

She had no intention of asking about the new subject Seria chose to discuss.

She should be more interested in asking Ivan how not to get married.

“She already sent you a wedding invitation so you must attend.

She also wished  you could catch her bouquet as well.”

Seria handed the wedding invitation to Yernia, and she glanced downward with reluctance.

Her eyes widened slightly as she stared at it.

Bride Daisy Philene.

The groom was the questionable senior who Daisy fell in love with and the one who was bothering Yernia.

“You seemed to be out of your mind yesterday, so I put it aside for the meantime.”

Daisy Philene was Yernia’s friend a long time ago.

Yernia liked her, but their friendship fell apart because of Daisy’s one-sided misunderstanding.

Until now, her baseless accusations still ring in her ears, and it made her feel strange to see a wedding invitation with her name on it.

Yernia pressed the edge of the wedding invitation firmly.

Daisy had misunderstood when she thought that  Yernia had seduced the senior she admired very much.

“Daisy, I’ve never met this senior you are talking about.

Ask the other students.

That senior was the one who kept following me around.”

Yernia merely told her the truth.

When she studied at the academy, Yernia was pretty, which made her famous.

Thanks to that, Yernia was quite exhausted with the attention of her classmates, seniors, or juniors.

Students had crushes on her, but some of them were just delusional about dating itself and not liking her because of her personality and wit.

Daisy’s first love, the senior she told her before, was one of those men.

“Is my senior following you around, or do you just want to lie to me”

Daisy didn’t want to believe that the senior she had a crush on chased Yernia, so she treated the truth as false.

“You’re not my friend.”

Daisy was the one who let go of her hand first.

Yernia still insisted that everything was just a misunderstanding.

She tried to solve the issue between them several times and repair their friendship.

However, Yernia’s words only broke and scattered like dust.

There was no use in defending herself, and Daisy ignored Yernia.

She didn’t even want to face her, nor did she try to talk to her.

Yernia was also quite hurt to realize that her best friend was, indeed, two-faced.

She tried her best to restore their friendship several times.

Since she didn’t see any progress with her attempts, she did not dare talk to Daisy at that point.

She wholeheartedly accepted that it was the end.

“Wait, why do you even want me to catch the bouquet at her wedding”

Yernia did not contact Daisy two years after she graduated from that academy.

She didn’t approach Daisy the last time she happened to see her on graduation day.

Sometimes, she pretended not to know who she was when she ran into a party or some tea party.

She had no intention of swearing at Daisy for something that had already happened, but her request that she take her bouquet was still strange.

“Perhaps, you were the only one she could ask for such a particular favor.”

Ivan always sees the bright side of things, but Yernia shook her head, refusing to believe that reason.

“That’s not it.”

She could guess why Daisy would ask for such a request.

Daisy ended up marrying the senior she had a crush on, so she must have wanted to let Yernia see it for herself.

If that wasn’t her reason, maybe she wanted them to forget about their past and get along well.

Daisy’s one-sided love became a success, anyway, and she was fascinated that it happened.

“But why did it happen all of a sudden”

She glanced at the wedding date, and the event will happen next week.

So she sent Yernia the invitation at the last minute after preparing for the wedding.
