Chapter 2574: Fool Me Once, Shame On You, Fool me Twice….

They could have run away, leaving me behind; if they had, not only they have faced the slightly less pressure, but also would have already reached very close to the boundary.

Pachack Pachack Pachack!

Currently, we are getting attacked on all sides by vines, from left to right, from top to bottom, everywhere.

It is thanks to Lady Atkins that we are even surviving; every minute, she would construct thousands of the water elemental constructs that would defend against the vines.

It is extremly straining for her, and she is also rapidly expanding the energy from the five-pointed star floating above her.

I did not do anything, nor I could do anything, but soon I will have to do something.

These vines are really the greatest enemy we have come across in the ruin; they are very powerful, very intelligent.

If anyone of us had been alone in exploring the place, they wouldnt have been able to return.

One alone couldnt survive the onslaught of these three hundred and fifty vines, and they are not numbers.

Seconds feel like hours as the vines have attacked us from all the angels while we move closer and closer toward the boundary, and now we are just five seconds away from the boundary.

“We have nearly reached it; in five seconds, we would be out,” said Rai, and Lady Atkins nodded and constructed even more elemental animals to defend against the vine.

Another two seconds passed, and we reached extremly close to the boundary, so close that if we jumped, we could reach.

Seeing the boundary, a big smile appeared on the face of Lady Atkins, and she stopped holding back and covered us with a thick sphere of water energy while constricting the double number of elemental animals.

DHUB DHUB DHUB!

Suddenly, the smile on the face of the Lady Atkins froze as the earth shook and vines erupted from the ground ahead of us, hundreds of them blocking our exit out of the domain.

There are about three hundred vines that came out of the ground, and all of them are shining in the bright azure light; the azure light is much brighter than the vines that attacking us, and we dont need to think about what that means.

SUP SUP SUP!

“We are **ed!”

Rai cursed as the vines moved, and they moved at such speed that I was barely able to follow them with my eyes, and the power they emitted had shaken me from up to down.

“Dont change the direction; go straight!” I said when I felt Rai was preparing to change the direction, which is a wise move considering the number of vines coming at us and the power they have.

“Arent you seeing those freaking vines, it will be a death sentence if we continue to head straight,” Rai screamed, and for the first time since the vines had appeared, a smile couldnt help but appear on my face.

“You dont have to worry about that; just move forward as fast as you can,” I said as I looked at the coming vines.

“Fine, but if I die, I will haunt you for the eternity,” he replied, and next second, I felt our speed increase further, moving closer and closer to the vines, till there was only ten meters distance between us, which they would take a fraction of seconds to cross.

Fool me once, shame on me, fool me twice…. I said in my mind, and the whole world turned red.

Reconnaissance is my specialty; I consider it one of my best abilities and take great pride in it, but this vine had evaded it, and it became a great shame to me.

Something like that had never happened; my soul sense would always help me detect the danger, even at a limited range.

I have made a mistake by not trying too hard, underestimating the danger of this place, and I would be a fool if I made a similar mistake again.

The power of the fourth burst exploded inside me, and it was too much, far too much.

I should have tested its power before using it, but I had no freaking time, and now, I have to use it, no matter how intense or uncontrolled it is.

This power is so much that it has begun injuring me, and if I did not find a way to release this power, it would fatally injure, might even kill me.

Thankfully, I have a way to utilize this power, and I hope it will be enough for what I am trying to do.

“STOP!”

I shouted to the coming vines, and to the shock of Lady Atkins beside me, the vines have stopped, and things that have stopped them also have become visible.

Thousands of blood-red strings became visible; these strings are extremly thin, far thinner than the hair, and they mostly stayed invisible, even when the enemy attacked them, and only became visible when I willed them, but now they have become visible without my direction.

The strain has become too much for them to remain invisible; still, with the power of my burning essence, they are able to hold back the vines but will not be for much longer.

I could feel a great strength the vines were used to get out of the binds of my strings; they had started to blaze in azure light.

“Rai, hurry, I wont be able to hold them for long!” I said through the gritted teeth while blood began to flow out of my mouth, eyes, and every other hole in my body.

Rai did not say anything, but I could feel his aura blasting up to the limit, while Lady Atkins had also stopped holding back any power.

She begins to harness as much power as the start could give her and begin to create hundreds of elemental animals which are capable of bearing more than one attack of the vines.

Soon, we reached the bound vines, and Rai moved toward the biggest gap among them; it was big enough for the chariot to barely passed through it.

Eeee!

Soon we are passing through the vines, and the strain on me increases many folds; the vines begin to shake, straining my strings even further, while green spots begin to appear on them as they begin to attack my strings with the powerful poison.

If I had been not using my burning essence to power up these strings, they would have suffered the damage, but with it.

They could hold off the poison, at least till we get out of this freaking domain.

It took a fraction of seconds but felt like hours as we finally passed through the vines, and now there is only a hundred-some meter distance between us and the domain boundary.

There is no danger ahead of us other than vines that are still attacking vine.

Hun!

The smiles appeared on our faces seeing the exit so close, but the next moment, the smiles froze.

The vines have stopped, and now they are blazing in bright green light; the poison aura coming off them has become so strong that it begins to kill the poisonous plants around them.

SUP SUP SUP!

We had reached the twenty meters to the boundary of the domain when the blinding green light on over three hundred vines simply disappeared, and all of it concentrated on a hail of concentrated poison energy bullets that were coming at us at extremly fast speed.

Seeing their speed, they would strike us before we could pass through the boundary.
