Chapter 25: Chapter 24: Team of Chosen

There were a few problems with the list, not only were they lacking an important role but they were also a team filled with only chosen. Every one of them on that list lived in this special dormitory and the most annoying thing about it now is that even their enchanter is more of a fraud.

Enchanters are supporter types on the battlefield who buff their teammates to improve their battle capabilities. There are only a handful of people in this world who can make it into this class. They are like the rarest of the pack but this fraud is different.

Damon has heard about him and has always prayed never to meet him. If there is someone who can beat him in this Academy, Gin would be on top of the list.

Gin is from a wealthy family, not noble but wealthy through business. Not only is he from the family, but he is also the family. With all his bloodline dead in an accident and him becoming the sole successor, he is extremely rich and can be considered the only first-year student with a complete magic weapon set! Even noble families cant afford this.

His fellow enchanters, including his family, chose to part of servitude. They dedicated their lives to creating magic weapons and selling them off the empire so everyone respected them greatly but this prodigal son is different.

Even with the gift of an enchanter, he chose what Damon referred to as a terrifying path. He practices a strange sword fighting style and with his magic armor set, his strength is unmatched. He has the skills of the fighter class just like Damon but he came from a more capable source making him far stronger than Damon.

In a team with such a person, Damon would have no need but to submit or die.

.....

“This is wrong.... Something is wrong!” Damon said with a frown but then he felt danger!

It was like his whole body had been restricted by a boa constrictor!

Xiu!

A blue-haired kid with a bright blue sword lunged forward like a beast shooting toward Damon fiercely!

Seeing this Damon frowned as his body released mana light and he quickly dashed to the side to evade but the blade dog the kid seemed to bend midway like a serpent, piercing his shoulder!

Puff!

Blood squirted out but luckily the wound wasnt deep!

ROAR!

Damon roared furiously as he punched forward with a fist shrouded in flames but once again the kids hand moved to leave behind strange after images while a strange hissing sound could be heard.

Peng!

The fist collided with the blade, pushing both combatants away from each other.

It was a blue-haired kid with a friendly smile on his face and his eyes completely shut. He wore a plain white gown that looked like nightwear and Damon was sure there was no armor beneath it.

The fact he is in this castle meant he is a chosen too.

“Gin” Damon said with a fierce look on his face.

Someone he was just thinking of, suddenly came looking for him with the intention to kill!

“Damon Ross. Dont take this the wrong way but our team needs a warden. To do that a member of my team has to pass away” Gin said with a friendly smile but his body kept oozing a dangerous vibe.

“And it has to be me” Damon asked with a weird look on his face as a wind magic circle appeared beneath his feet but Gin seemed to ignore it. He seemed confident of his victory.

“Sounds reasonable. Why did you choose me as the one that needs to die” Damon asked. He didnt seem offended one bit. Put in the same situation, he would do the same.

“Cyrus is our Oracle, you and Klien are our war mages... we dont need two... killing you is a decision I made after comparing you both and decided Klien has more potential” Gin shrugged his shoulder as he spoke.

Thinking about it, Damon felt this was reasonable and nodded in agreement. Gin didnt know he has the Death element it is only natural he picked him as the one that has to die.

“I understand what youre sayings Im not offended. But I need to add, did you only bring a sword” Damon asked with a raised eyebrow.

“Ooh, that I just felt this would be more than enough” Gin replied

Cocky!!

The magic array beneath Damon activated as wind surged around his feet, making it look like he was standing in the air all that time.

“I, Damon is not someone you can come and bully so easily!” Damon declared coldly and in a loud voice but didnt seem bothered.

He tightened his grip on the word and began dragging it along while he approached calmly!

Damon showed no hesitation as well as he walked toward the enemy. As far as he is concerned, because he is weaker doesnt mean he would let the enemy look down on him. Since he cant escape he had no intentions of begging for his life as well. Even if he dies here, he wouldnt mind leaving a scar or two on Gins body as a sign of his bravery.

“You are not scared to die young Would have sworn you would be running by now” Gin was genuinely stunned by the fact that Damon was approaching

“Its not about how long you live, but how well you live. I dont think I can live with myself knowing I ran from a spoilt rich brat who looked down on me. I think the afterlife sounds better when I put it that way” Damon said coldly.

Xiu!

Gin suddenly launched forward with the blade swinging horizontally but Damon was already racing towards him but not directly, instead he was running on the wall!

Peng!

The blade hit the wall and bounced off but Damon was already airborne with both fists surging with fierce flames!

“Kill!” he growled as he punched down ruthlessly!
